We're getting down to the wire of season 5, storytellers! On this episode of The Storytelling Lab, Rain talks with Andy Henriquez, a strategic storyteller expert, coach, and keynote speaker with a tangible passion for his work. Andy recaps his journey of how he entered the storytelling space, explains how his widely successful Master Storyteller Academy operates, and gives us some great advice on how to channel our individual challenges into our "signature stories."

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about identity.
But it’s also emerged as a theme of a feature documentary I’m producing, it’s a major obstacle I help my story coaching clients overcome, and it was even the reason I finally figured out the path I wanted to carve out for my career.
Earlier this year, I received a note from a client that said “You finally made me feel like a storyteller.” It was so simple, yet incredibly profound.
We often struggle to see ourselves clearly. Even more often, we fail to believe in ourselves.
But we are all storytellers. Because we’re human.
The goal is to figure out what kind of storyteller you are and how to most effectively use stories to align with your purpose and achieve your mission.
This week on my podcast, I talked to Andy Henriquez and Andy created a quiz that solves that first problem for you in less than 1 minute!
Andy, who is bursting with energy and a master storyteller himself, says there are five different storytelling styles and your storytelling style determines your influence.
The Five Storytelling Styles are:
The Juggler
The Reporter
The Marketer
The Evangelist
The Influencer
I took the quiz live on the show! (Can you guess which storyteller I am?)
Each quarter Andy holds his Master Storyteller Academy and this is exactly what he walks his participants through.
He’s an incredible coach and I believe a big portion of that is due to the power of his passion.
It’s overflowing and you can tell he is fueled by helping others.
A man after my own heart.
If you feel like you could be a great storyteller but aren’t sure what kind, this is the episode for you!
Some of the highlights of our conversation:
